Author's Corner
Who doesn't enjoy curling up with a good book? Or reading stories to their kids? We're no different there, as one of our family's favorite evening events, as we get ready for bed, is story time with our kids. Sometimes it's a short picture book, sometimes it's several. Lately it's been chapters of much bigger stories. Every now and then though, we're inspired to create our own stories, or tell favorite classics in a different way. One day, we pondered, maybe we should actually just write these down. Maybe other families would enjoy the stories too... So here we are, our book section, with now published titles!
Books by Julie Michelle Wayne
Julie loves writing children’s books! She writes stories of courage, compassion, and friendship that children will want to read again and again.

The Peppermint Tail series was born from stories Julie would tell her two younger sisters growing up. Eventually, she started telling the stories to her young daughters, and they would ask for them often. Julie decided why not pen the tales for kids of all ages to read and enjoy!
NEW! Peppermint Tail's Quest
The world of Maailma holds a timeless secret: when every creature is born, an Ancient Ember is created, just for them. Some never learn that they have one; others discover theirs, but never choose to take and use it; and some find and collect their Ember, but hide it away, rendering it useless.

Peppermint Tail is a young, curious mouse, from Mosswood Forest. This is the tale of a brave adventurer who discovers his own Ancient Ember, and chooses to embark on a journey to turn it into an Eternal Flame. On the way to possibly changing his life forever, he will meet new friends and encounter new foes.
Books by Erik Wayne
Erik was inspired to take the Biblical Psalms, and turn them into super simplified rhyming poems, with fun pictures, for little ones to read and listen to. Making up new stories for his kids, or retelling old stories for them, was always a highlight. Telling Bible stories often made important and sweet memories together, as kids are hungry for truth and morals, so they can learn to live well; and it's a parents' duty to "train them up in the way they should go..."
The Happy Way: Based on Psalms 1
Offering beginner readers (ages 2-7) the experience to actually read through the psalms as they learn to read, while increasing the readability, and the "understand-ability" for younger kids. Each psalm has several fun, hand-drawn, and interesting illustrations to help explain each "verse" and give kids a way to see what they read. Our little ones have loved the easy-to-read format, the rhyming sing-song lines, and making pictures to go with them. We hope your littles love it just as much!
"The Happy Way" is based on Psalms 1, and the first in the series "Little Ones Reading Psalms." Starting off with why it's great to follow God's way, and stay away from "the yucky crowd," little readers can learn Biblical morals and have fun connecting with God!
Currently available for Kindle, we're planning a softcover version soon!
